This is important because CEO's need brilliant managers who get things done, repeatedly, with quality and reliability. But CEO's more than ever need everyone to be leaders too. To picture the future, to be visionary, to embrace change and ambiguity.
The key question to ask yourself is "Have I got the split of time between being a leader and being a manager, right?"
Challenge yourself to get the split right.
If you are an employee with no direct reports, you still need to be a leader, a leader of yourself.
So with the pandemic and lockdowns, take the time to learn to be a better leader and learn to be a better manager too.
